Wilkins was an African American Mathematician and famously joined the University of Chicago at the age of 13, which makes him their youngest ever student. He was a huge part of the department that researched nuclear weapons to help America during the Second World War. When he died in 2011, he had completed five different mathematical or scientific degrees.
